We had the privilege of being selected as the Structural Engineer of Record for the redevelopment of Northlake Mall. WJPA provided the structural services to convert approximately 250,000 SF of what was formerly Sears and Kohls into an Emory Healthcare anchor tenant. The design featured removing areas of existing roof structure for skylights, the removal and renovation of escalator areas, grand staircase design, reinforcing of the existing roof structure for new chillers, reconfiguration of the existing lateral force resisting system, and repair of distressed existing structural elements.
